Damian Chudzinski is a landscape photographer based in the Comox Valley, specializing in Vancouver Island’s seascapes and night skies. Born in Poland and raised in Surrey, Damian visited the Comox Valley with his wife, Jessica (who grew up on the Island) and they knew it was where they wanted to raise their family. They made the move several months later with their daughter, who is now one year old.

Damian started taking photos in 2021 and has been chasing captivating landscapes ever since. He’s drawn to the Comox Valley’s seascapes, night skies, and the kind of scenes that many people miss—like the Milky Way at 3 a.m. His creative process includes editing in Lightroom and Photoshop to enhance light and colours while maintaining a natural look.
The Comox Valley’s vast array of landscapes – from rugged coastlines to star-filled skies – present compelling subjects for a Vancouver Island photographer seeking to capture the region’s scenic diversity.
These days, he’s often joined by his daughter, Clara, who comes along in the stroller while he scouts for the perfect location. He hopes to explore every corner of the Comox Valley, Vancouver Island and beyond to share the natural beauty with his friends and family.
