Christopher Lindenau is an amateur photographer from the Comox Valley. He has lived on Vancouver Island his entire life, and has always had a deep respect for the natural beauty of this island. In the past several years, he has taken up photography as a way to share that beauty with others. His main focus in photography is to observe and capture wildlife and the serenity of the Island’s landscapes, particularly lakes and rivers. As he spends time outside, he finds himself noticing birds, which he describes as “like a game of hide-and-seek. It’s always rewarding to catch a glimpse of their colouration.”
He spends much of his time outdoors, hiking and camping, and is rarely without his camera. He hopes his photos will inspire others to pause and reflect on the natural beauty that surrounds us on our island home.
