Kyle was born and raised in Courtenay, on Island time. After high school he devoted the better part of a decade to being a sponsored mountain biker, filming and shooting for international magazines. Kyle went to UVic and UBC where he completed a Bachelors of Science in Forest Operations in 2009 and then a Bachelors of Applied Science in Geological Engineering in 2013. Kyle still rides mountain bikes, but lately he has been splitting his time between snowmobiling, skiing, speedflying, longboarding, kiteboarding, and riding his horse, Ocho.
