Erica is a film photographer, writer, and musician who splits her time between the mountains and the sea. She is inspired by the interconnectedness of all things. Born in Campbell River to Frances Keen and Gordon Benson, she is a 5th generation Chinese/Russian/Ukrainian and Scottish settler. She works as a Registered Nurse in rural Nuu-chah-nulth communities, as a public health nurse in K’omoks territory, and on systems change initiatives. With a passion for equity and social justice, Erica weaves stories into contemplative pieces that inspire reflection and compassion for others. The quiet just before sunrise is Erica’s favourite feeling of the day.
