Featured Photographer: Eric Overhoff

Eric Overhoff is a Cumberland-based film photographer with a deep passion for adventure. He has been fortunate enough to make a living at sea and to be able to backpack through various parts of the world over the last decade, often finding himself in remote corners of the globe with a film camera by his side. His work focuses on landscapes; he aims to highlight the natural beauty that surrounds us with an old-school medium.

Eric took a job shooting skateboard photos for a local shop in Campbell River 12 years ago and the passion has continued to grow ever since. In 2024, he helped start the Cumberland Film Club with a close group of friends who share the same love for analog. They have featured their work across three separate exhibitions since the club was founded.

He has also been working on a collective studio in Black Creek with other local artists and friends and setting up a darkroom to expand on shooting, developing and printing.
