FEATURED PHOTOGRAPHER: CHUCK BURDICK

Chuck Burdick is a self-taught photographer working in multiple genres including macro, landscape, and abstract photography. He strives to capture beautiful moments in this world with emphasis on shape, colour, and texture.

Professionally, Chuck worked as an environmental engineer in the United States and Canada for 35 years. During his engineering career, his creative focus was on his design work; photography was always an integral part of his life as an enjoyable hobby. After retirement, he began to divert his creative side from engineering to photography.

Chuck has published four photography books. His most recent book is Photography of Vancouver Island, Parks and Trails in the Central Region and West Coast. The book features images captured during hikes through more than twenty locations including Elk Falls, Rosewall Creek Provincial Park, Oyster River, and the Wild Pacific Trail.

His books and photo cards can be purchased at book and gift stores throughout the Comox Valley, and his digital images are available worldwide through Image Conscious, an art publishing house in San Francisco, and Pictorem.
