Christian is a technologist, writer, and educator from Galiano Island. He combines industry experience with a passion for the practice and theory of teaching. He brings a systems engineer’s approach to development and delivers a passionate presentation of the potential of the web to beginning students and advanced clients alike. He has a degree in Engineering Physics from Queen’s and a Master’s in Particle Physics from UBC, and has experience with satellite control software and image calibration systems.
After building a web system for a satellite image product in the early 2000s, he turned to the web full time, and never looked back. He is also the creator of a community website for the Gulf Islands, activeislands.com.
When he’s not geeking out, you’ll find him racing sailboats, or playing music in his cabin on Galiano.
