Allison is a member of Mountainaire Avian Rescue Society (MARS) in Merville, BC. She has a BA (Hon) from the University of Saskatchewan, and a Certificate in Innovation Management from MIT. Allison spent a good part of her 20-year career at BC Hydro spearheading ways to improve the company’s environmental performance. Her assignments included micro-grids and alternative energy projects, the creation of ecosystem-service based metrics, and development of sustainability policies for the energy sector. Allison was a board member for sustainability and technology-based groups in both academia and industry such as The World Bank, Canada’s Ecofiscal Commission, and both the Wildlife Rescue Association and MARS Wildlife Rescue. Now semi-retired, Allison lives in Union Bay with her husband, dogs, and tortoise, Ladybird Johnson.
