Zoe Compton is a Vancouver Island-based writer, journalist, communications and marketing professional, and creative writer, holding a degree in journalism and creative writing. Passionate about human-centred storytelling, Zoe believes honest and authentic stories have the power to create meaningful connections, foster resilience, and strengthen community by reminding people they are not alone in their experiences. She values ethical journalism and believes words can create safe spaces where people feel heard and truthfully represented. When she’s not writing or editing content for local non-profits and publications, Zoe enjoys running, reading, creating art, and spending time with her daughters. She finds inspiration in the wild beauty and everyday magic of Oceanside’s fresh air, forests and shorelines.
