Featured Artist: Ron Bridge

Self-taught artist Ron Bridge has been oil painting for over 50 years. He was born in Vancouver, where he graduated from UBC with a BEd degree. In 1975, Bridge moved with his wife, Pat, and his three young children to the Comox Valley, where the natural beauty of the area has been an ongoing source of inspiration for his work. In later years, he has been inspired by his travels.

For Bridge, “One of the delights of art is that it forces one to look deeply at, and appreciate, the myriad colours, the layered textures, and the play of light of our natural world.”

His work has been exhibited at the Vancouver Board of Trade, the Molson Indy Charity, Crown Isle, Wilsden Gallery, Timms Fine Art Gallery, and private shows in Vancouver. His paintings are held in private collections and various businesses in North America.

Currently, Bridge’s work can be seen in his Cloudburst Studio.
