Kevin Mackenzie

Kevin MacKenzie is a self-taught musician and multimedia artist who learned how to weld at a young age from his grandfather. In the years since, he has perfected his craft to combine both the practical and beautiful, creating his own style of West Coast art. Kevin is both artist and professional metal fabricator, having worked on many monumental
sculptures, installations, and city projects in Vancouver and on Vancouver Island.

Kevin’s art is in high demand and finds its way into homes around the world. His sculpture Silver Lining lives on Quadra Island. Kevin is very involved in his community and donates to many local charities and fundraisers.

Kevin and his partner, Connie Elford, recently took part in the Sacred Journey exhibit. They both cladded the 24’ ocean canoe in copper with stunning patina work. This exhibit will travel across Canada and the USA bringing awareness of how important the ocean canoes were to the people.

Whether working alone or in collaboration with another artist, Kevin shows his appreciation for the landscape and its nature through his artist’s eye, celebrating life here on the West Coast. Kevin and Connie run their business, Imagine Coastal Creations, on Quadra Island, British Columbia.
