Comox Valley Chamber in collaboration with Smith Lake Farm brings you the 1st annual Summer BBQ & Agri-tour. Proudly sponsored by RLR Lawyers and Experience Comox Valley and featuring local Chamber Member food producers, the entire Comox Valley is invited to gather to celebrate the end of summer at Vancouver Island’s premier agritourism destination—to connect with your local product producers over a refreshing beverage and delicious local eats in an amazing setting. Smith Lake Farm’s own Clea Adair will be sharing her story of dreaming the farm into existence and participants will have the opportunity to tour the apiary and learn about the bees. Partial event proceeds will go to support the Comox Valley Farmers’ Market‘s new farmer bursary.
The BBQ dinner will feature Smith Lake Farm sausages and Comox Valley Farmers’ Market vendors produce. Land & Sea Brewing will be creating a custom brew for this event, the Summer Stout, utilizing Smith Lake Farm’s own farm-grown honey. Natural Pastures Cheese Company and Wayward Distillery will be offering custom tastings of their award-winning products, and Eatmore Sprouts & Greens have generously donated sprouts and microgreens for Valley-grown salads.
