This internationally registered, seven-acre botanic garden in Royston is offering a variety of nature-based activities and tours. All are welcome to explore the gardens, trails, and Vancouver Island’s largest labyrinth. Activities include a guided medicinal plant walk, live music from Joanna Finch by the labyrinth, a guided garden tour with owner Chanchal Cabrera, kids’ educational plant activity tables, and more.
Complementary iced herbal tea will be on offer, and their onsite Green Dream Café will have delectable desserts for sale. There will also be a plant sale: buy three, get one free! Their nursery is bursting with unusual medicinal herbs and ornamental plants, and you can explore over 300 labeled plants in the themed gardens.
All activities at the open house are free, with donations to Gardens without Borders gratefully accepted. Gardens without Borders is a federally registered not-for-profit organization based at Innisfree Farm that provides healing opportunities through plants and gardening (Horticulture Therapy).
