Icons: a solo show by SabeyJ

Inspired by hospital robes, head coverings, intense physical interferences and the forced stillness of cancer treatment, these protectors have been created to bestow strength and care. Although they reference the protective nature of devotional icons, they are vulnerable. Whether underwater, on fire, or in a canonical state, they cannot protect themselves from the ravages of this world.
