The Chamber of Commerce brings you the annual Economic Outlook Breakfast, a micro-local economic synopsis with projections for future change. It’s widely known that our population is aging—not just here in Canada, but around the world. The changing demographic profiles of our communities happens slowly, and there are differences between communities. In this talk, we’ll explore the demographics of the Comox Valley, examining factors such as age distribution, family structures, and where newcomers to the area are choosing to live. We’ll look at how the demographics and related socioeconomics of the Comox Valley have changed and are projected to change in the future, and what these changes mean for our local businesses, communities, and governments. Enjoy a full buffet breakfast from Crown Isle Resort. The presentation ends with a question period and discussion with a panel of local business leaders. Cost is $55/person.
