Rich works full time as a mapping specialist and part time as an avalanche technician. Rich is a director for the Strathcona Nordic Ski Club, past director of the BC Family French Camps, professional member of the Canadian avalanche association and has spent many years involved as a professional and volunteer with various search and rescue organizations in BC. In his spare time he can often be found with a camera in hand and a pack on his back. Rich has three children—Oliver, Callam and Nina—and lives in Comox with his patient and loving wife Valentina.
