Nicole is a passionate sewist, enthusiastic extrovert, and collector of obscure skills and diverse trivia. She moved to the Comox Valley with her family five years ago and has sent deep roots into the soil and community while building a business and homeschooling her daughter with her husband. Whether it’s teaching sewing, exploring the beach, or learning about gardening, she seeks connection with people and this magical place. A self-taught sewist, she shares her skills with laughter, sound effects, weird metaphors and usually a pot of tea. The Spool Sewing Studio supports indie designers and local teachers. You can visit her and make cool stuff with her gorgeous selection of curated fabric at The Spool Sewing Studio: 420 Fitzgerald Ave, Courtenay.
