Nicole Berns is a writer, yoga teacher, and backcountry mountain guide from Campbell River. She spent five years in the Okanagan Valley, completing a BA in Creative Writing at UBCO, where she produced a poetry chapbook. After studying and teaching yoga in SE Asia, she returned home to Vancouver Island to reconnect with her roots. She loves to spend time in the mountains, whether that be rocking climbing, hiking, skiing, or snowshoeing. She also enjoys mountain biking, surfing, and free diving.

In her work, Nicole helps people to heal their bodies, whether that be from neglect or injury, and get back to enjoying their bodies outside in nature and in their intimate relationships. Her time in the mountains is expressed through her work when she’s writing, teaching, and guiding.
