The cold call came one day last Fall from the CVC: “Would you like to write a story about navigation?” Why me, why do you think I can write? I had never written more than a letter before that call. Stepping out of my comfort zone with a “yes” was all it took. The process was so enjoyable that writing is now in my “like a lot” file. Sharing space in these files with varying degrees of passion are shredding pow with my son Desmond, puttering around our 1898 Cumberland house with my partner Christine, and riding the legendary trails of Dodge.
