Cathy has been calling the Comox Valley home for 24 years and cannot fathom why anyone would leave. Cathy is a happily retired faculty member of the North Island College BSN program and feels privileged to have had such a satisfying and varied career in nursing practice and education. Finding meaningful activities after retirement is important to Cathy. Among other activities, she spends many months of the year building up to The Cumby, a trail race in the Cumberland hills. Its continued success is made possible with the help of a handful of hardworking committee members including her partner, John, a retired forester who originally had the idea of The Cumby. They live with their much-loved Jack Russell Terrier, Micky.
