Lia Cormick launched Clever Crow about three years ago at the Comox Valley Farmers’ Market selling herbs, spices and sea salts. The market has served her well as a business incubator giving her the opportunity to get feed back on new flavours she’s developing and insights from customers as her business continues to grow.
Lia’s herbs are grown and dried here in the Comox Valley as are her meticulously and uniquely processed, locally derived sea salts, “We go out and collect all the water, we do a lot of filtering and boil the water to a certain temperature… we’re able to get a beautiful flaked sea salt out of it.” She says.
Her products are available every Saturday year round at the Comox Valley Farmers’ Market but you can also find them at Weinberg’s Fine Foods in Buckley Bay and at the Salish Sea Market in Bowser. If you’re heading northbound you can check out their farm store just off the highway in Black Creek.
